One of the major
goals at the Boakes Funeral Home is to make arrangements easier for the
families that we serve. With the help of technology we are able
to provide information for families before they come to our Funeral
Home. Listed below are several newspapers in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area, but we have the resources to place an obituary in any newspaper in the United States. Also, below the newpapers are deadlines for submitting newspaper obituaries to our local newspaper. Another option for families is to run a memorium display ad after your services have taken place to thank people who helped you in your bereavement. Memorium display ads are also sometimes published to honor the anniversary of the death or to remember the birthday your loved one.

DEADLINES
Newspaper deadlines vary. At the Press of Atlantic City, the weekday deadline for submission of an obituary is 4 PM. If you wish to include a picture with the obituary, then the deadline is 3 PM. On weekends, the deadline for all obituaries is 2 PM. Other newspaper deadlines in general vary from 4 PM to 6 PM. MEMORIUM DISPLAY ADS The
memorial display ad typically remembers a loved one on the anniversary
of their death or to thank people who helped in their time of sorrow. It is not uncommon to include a short poem. Memorium display ads can be submitted directly by the family to the newspaper.  |
